I stood in the middle of a dirt road, gazing at the misty horizon. "Damn," I said as I flicked my wrist to eye level and glimpsed at it all in the same instant. It was almost dawn and I felt weary. I had been walking along that path all night and had only succeeded in getting myself lost. I couldn't even remember where I came from, let alone were I was supposed to be going. I walked over to sit down on the grassy meadow on the side of the dirt road. A chill shot up my spine as I realized that the cold dew had soaked through my pants. The air felt crisp and I could see my breath, but it was not yet cold enough to freeze the dew on the grass.

A month ago I was a high school student. I was a 18 year old who had spent the last 14 years of her life going to school. From Preschool to Senior Year, I had spent every single day at school...from about 8 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon. Yesterday, my dad managed to get me a job at his work. Does anyone even read these anymore?

So I got my wisdom teeth out last Friday...all four of them. I'm afraid of needles and not a huge fan of blood, so I had high anxiety last week pre-surgery. Thank God for Valium. Surgery was not actually that bad (they put me under general anesthesia because I'd likely start freaking out in the middle of it if I wasn't completely blacked out) but I felt like total crap for the first few hours after I woke up. I took one of the extra strength Motrins they gave me and felt much better. They also gave me some narcotics, but I didn't feel like taking them. I know they were my prescription, but I still don't feel right taking such powerful drugs.
